Case Handlers for Control Investigations
Do you want to make a difference and help stop incorrect payments and combat benefit fraud? We are now looking for several case handlers who want to work with control investigations.
We have an important societal mission and strive to be a learning organization where we share knowledge, support each other, and dare to make necessary decisions. With us, you will develop in a dynamic environment and collaborate with both colleagues and other authorities. Are you our next colleague?
About the Job
We at the control units are now looking for a number of case handlers who want to be part of the work with control investigations aimed at stopping suspected benefit fraud and halting incorrect payments. We also work preventively to ensure that incorrect payments do not occur.
When you work with control investigations, you meet people who may have received compensation from the Pension Authority on incorrect grounds, either knowingly or unknowingly.
As a pension case handler within the control unit, you will work with authority exercise, investigation, and decision-making in accordance with applicable regulations and processes. You are responsible for effectively investigating, evaluating, analyzing, and implementing decisions. The work also involves making withdrawal decisions when necessary, even when they are negative decisions for the customer. You need to be secure in your role and have the ability to stand firm in these decisions. You will also consider whether the authority should file a police report for suspected benefit fraud.
You will be part of a group located in Stockholm, Karlstad, Halmstad, or Växjö. Three people will be hired in Stockholm and four in the other locations. The work is carried out in close collaboration, including digitally, with colleagues at all locations.
Your Profile
To be considered for the role, you need to have good communication skills and be able to express yourself clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing. You work in a structured and meticulous manner and possess analytical skills that allow you to understand and evaluate complex issues and make well-founded decisions.
As the work involves handling challenging situations, it is required that you are confident in your role, trustworthy, and willing to make decisions even when they are difficult.
We also place great importance on you being a team player who collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals and contribute to a good working environment.
You want to work in an organization in constant development, where you work productively and solution-oriented.
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and suitability for the role.
We are also looking for someone who has:
- relevant academic education
- several years of current experience in authority exercise, investigation, and decision-making
- experience in interpreting and applying regulations
- good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing in Swedish
- good ability to use a computer as a working tool
It is advantageous if you have:
- experience in control work, incorrect payments, and/or recoveries
- experience in investigative conversations
- knowledge of the Pension Authority's benefits and case management systems
